Moses Wheeler Bridge Project

Tom Warne recently began facilitating the partnering efforts for the Moses Wheeler Bridge Project on I-95 in Connecticut.  The project is being constructed by a joint venture of Walsh and PCL and is has a planned completion date of 2016.  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is the owner of this $166 million project.

NDOT and RTC Reno-Tahoe Olympic Games Bid

Tom Warne has been engaged by the Nevada Department of Transportation and the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County to provide an orientation seminar and field tour for transportation professionals and other interested parties.  This work is in anticipation of the Reno-Tahoe area’s bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics.  Tom’s experience with the preparations leading up to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City will provide unique insights into the transportation preparations necessary for the Reno-Tahoe area’s bid.

Moses Wheeler Bridge Reconstruction Partnering Contract

Tom Warne has been invited to provide partnering facilitation services for the Moses Wheeler Bridge Replacement Project in New Haven (Milford), Connecticut.  The contractor is a joint venture of Walsh and PCL with the Connecticut Department of Transportation as the owner.  The project is on an aggressive schedule with completion currently set at 60 months.

290E Manor Expressway Project

Tom Warne is now providing the partnering facilitation services for the 290E Manor Expressway Project.  This latest in a long series of projects being constructed by the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) provides an extension to the existing 290 corridor.  Webber and Texas Sterling form the joint venture with Michael Baker providing their engineering services.  Atkins represents CTRMA.

Improving Partnerships Initiative

Tom Warne was invited with Accora Research to provide research services for the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the Improving Partnerships Initiative.  This first pilot phase included sampling the views of county engineers, city engineers, MPO/RDC executives and internal leaders.  Questions covered the range of partnership topics including trust, communications, and professional interactions.  The results of this pilot research were presented to MnDOT executives during the week of July 25th.  Tentative plans include expanding the effort to include 6-10 other partner groups.
